Holidays are the best memories

Holidays are the best memories

“The tans will fade but the memories will last forever”

I think the best memories are made on Holidays, I have been to some lovely countries and also some amazing places in our own little country.

These memories are all special for different reasons and I love looking back on photos to take me back to those special times.

I love sitting down on the travel websites looking for the best Low-cost holidays because if your like me and have two children, you want the best value for your money. We haven’t been on a holiday abroad since we had Heidi but hopefully we get the chance next year before she starts school and we have to start going term time. At the moment we tend to do UK holidays when the kids are at school and it’s a lot cheaper and quieter.

Talking about holidays had got me all nostalgic and here are some of my favourite holidays and why they are so special to me.

Mine and Keith’s first holiday together was to Morocco. We stayed in Riu Palace Tikida Palmeraie and couldn’t recommend it enough. The hotel was lovely, so much choice of food and the staff couldn’t do enough for you.

We laughed every day and made so many memories that we will treasure forever and with it being our first holiday together it was extra special.

I have been to Ayia Napa 3 times and each time was better than the first. It was my first time going on a girly holiday and would recommend doing this before you settle down. My mum always said make sure you go on a girly holiday because its one thing she always regrets not doing before he got married and had kids.

Like I said above I will always cherish these memories as they were with one of my best friends – at the time! We don’t speak any more but that’s for a different blog post another day.

I am fortunate enough to have family over in Canada and have been 4 times but in 2009 I got to do all the touristy things – CN Tower, Maid of the Mist, Niagara Falls! But what makes it extra special is getting to see my family as we don’t get to see each other as much as I would like to.

I would like to go over sometime soon so my cousins could meet Heidi & Alfie and I could meet all there children too. I would love to see our kids playing together and making there own special memories together.

Again I have family in Norway – my Grandad is Norwegian. So it’s another wonderful place I have the pleasure of visiting. I don’t think it’s somewhere you would think of going but its a beautiful country and I would highly recommend visiting as a City break – It is expensive so be prepared for that.

I love going over to visit but haven’t been since 2010 and really want to try and get back over there and do a bit more sight seeing and visit my family.

I would love to have the time and money to travel as there are so many cities and country’s I want to see. Even in this country I don’t travel as much as I should because again we live in a beautiful country with some amazing cities.

I would love to know about your memories made on holiday’s and any country’s you would suggest to visit.

My folks went to the Riu Palace Tikida Palmeraie a year before you! Before they had me and loved it there… the pool was freezing though! #FamilyFun

Wow this post is making me jealous! I used to be a totlal jetsetter before I had kids. now with three of them, the expensive has sort of put an end to my exotic holidays! having to make do with Cornwall (which is beautiful to be fair) for the next couple of years!! #fortheloveofBLOG

Some of my happiest memories definitely come from holidays, and generally it was the cheapest holidays that created best memories. I would love to do more travelling, it definitely becomes so much harder when you have to do it during the school holidays though.
Thank you for joining the #FamilyFunLinky x
