2018 goals…. not resolutions
I really can’t believe I’m writing that it’s 2018, this year has gone so fast. A lot has happened this year and I just want to set myself some new goals for 2018, not resolutions. I feel goals are more achievable we’re as resolutions remind me of giving up chocolate or crisps, that’s how I always remember them.
But first a round up of 2017,
2017 was a good year
I started the year by going to bootcamp and having regular PT lessons and was feeling really good with how I felt and looked, I started to get a bit of confidence back. Then in the March we found out we were pregnant and were so happy to complete our family, although it took Heidi a few months to actually come around to the idea (but now she is besotted by him ❤️). In the July we found out we were having a boy and we couldn’t of been happier. November came around so quick and Alfie was in our lives and my little man makes me smile every day.
We have had trips to CBeebies land, walks around the park, our last holiday to the Lake District as a family of three and just spending quality time together.
I can’t wait to see what 2018 brings and here are my goals,
Take more pictures
I had an early birthday present (had to do a lot of pestering to get it early) but it was a camera and a photography day course to show you the basics. I want to capture so many more special moments and also of the 2 kids together but I want them to look good as well.
Now that I know I definitely won’t be having any more children I want to lose my baby weight and get to a size we’re I feel better about myself. I will be like the million other people in the new year who will be queuing up to join SlimmingWorld.
This sort of ties in to the losing weight goal but I want to build my fitness back up. I have already signed up to the mamafit Circuits class which is a class for pregnant or women who have just had children. Hopefully I can then re join my bootcamp I went to before I was pregnant.
Write regular content
I have been a bit slack the past couple of months with my blogging uploads but this is something I want to improve on. Hopefully I will do two posts a week, one will be a fitness/weight loss update and then a second post. I’m not sure what days will be which.
I have been some what of a hermit this year, partially because I was pregnant and felt crap all the time. Even the previous year I didn’t feel comfortable in the way I looked so would always make excuses to not go out. So 2018 will be my year to get back out there and see more of my friends.
I would love to increase my instagram followers and hopefully taking better quality pictures and interesting pictures will help this.
I just want to enjoy every second of my maternity leave and make so many memories with my two favourite people. I know it will go so fast and I’ll blink and August will be right around the corner.
I want to plan a weekend break or a few days away for just me and Keith. It’s so true when people say having two kids is like having three, don’t get me wrong I wouldn’t change them for the world but it will be nice to spend some quality time with Keith and just be Michaela and Keith and not Mummy and Daddy. Any suggestions of who to go?
Finally, my friends and family are happy and healthy ❤️
There not major life changing goals but hopefully they are achievable for me.
