29 Weeks pregnant, Water infection, hospital and drips!

I do apologise there hasn’t been any updates the last couple of weeks, I did keep meaning to but as you can tell from the title I haven’t been feeling the best the last couple of weeks.

How far along 29 weeks

Countdown. 11 weeks to go

Baby hand size.

Baby foot size.
Size of a.
Maternity Clothes. I haven’t bought anything the last couple of weeks I am just making do with what I have and living in leggings – oh how they become your best friend while pregnant!

Stretch Marks. Nope nothing yet and still using Palmers Cocoa Tummy Butter which feels lovely and smells delicious. I have also been using Cussons Mum and me Soothe & Nourish body lotion with feels lovely on my skin and keeps it hydrated especially in this weather.

Sleep. Awful, with not being well the last couple of weeks my sleep has been at its worst.

Best moment this week. Feeling my little boy kicking away and we got to see our little boy when we had to have an extra scan.

Worst moment this week. For the last 2 weeks I have felt absolutely dreadful, it all started when I was so tired, had dizzy spells and then for the first time in my life I had an anxiety attack. I went to the doctors and they told me I had a dreaded water infection so they sent me away with antibiotics. As the next couple of days went on I just felt worse than before, I had a headache for 4 days, nauseas and lost appetite so went to the out of hours doctors because it was Sunday afternoon. They checked me over and changed my antibiotics and then asked me the dreaded question “has baby been moving ok?” and with everything that had been going on I honestly couldn’t remember and after jumping around for 5 minutes he still wouldn’t move so I started to panic, they told me to go straight the hospital which just sent me in to panic mode.

We get to the delivery suite as our hospital and they put me straight on to the monitor to check baby was ok and did all the usual checks, blood pressure, heart rate, urine sample. After being monitored and feeling baby move – its crazy how when you just have the time to sit there and concentrate baby moves so much, we thought we were then ok to go home. I then got asked what I had eaten all day and because I had slept most of the day all I had eaten was one piece of toast all day and they said I had plus 4 ketones in my water which means my body is starving, so I had to go a drip and eat a sandwich to fill the hungriness. After getting monitored again and not being able to get a proper reading we had a scan and got to see our little boy again and then we were finally discharged at 12:30am, we were both so tired.

We had to go back for another scan a couple of days later and after now finishing my antibiotics I feel so much better but did get signed off by my doctor for a week to rest and I think it was something that was needed.

Miss anything. Being able to eat Pate, its something I just want at the moment.

Movement. Loads of kicks from this little fella, and my stomach is doing some funny waves.

Food cravings. Fanta!!!!!

Sickness. Same as last time cooking any sort of beef, hamburgers, mince eeeew the smell makes me nauseous.

Gender. Baby Boy

Symptoms. Just the usual, shortness of breath, tiredness, round ligament pain, piles and chafing, that seems to be a lot of crap symptoms.

Belly button in or out. Outie

Happy or Moody. Happy now that my water infection has gone.

Looking forward to. Celebrating Heidi’s birthday in just over a weeks time.

Workouts. None been so lazy.

If there is anything else you would like to see or think I have missed up update wise then please let me know and I will see you for next weeks update.
